Rubber base coat is used as a foundation layer in manicure gel nails. It’s thicker than regular gel polish and has a more flexible (rubber-like consistency) which helps improve adhesion to the natural nail and reduces the chance of chipping or lifting. It also offers a smoother surface for applying other layers of nail color.
Thick Consistency: It’s thicker than standard gel polish, which allows it to be used for creating more dramatic length or for adding strength to weak nails.
Self-Leveling: Builder gels tend to level out on their own, making it easier to create a smooth surface.
Stronger: It’s designed to withstand more pressure and last longer adding extra durability.
Used for Extensions: It's often used in conjunction with forms or tips to create nail extensions (such as in a gel extension technique).
Curing: Builder gel needs to be cured under a UV or LED lamp to harden, similar to regular gel polish. 60-90 secs
